About the COVER ART:

"The work was treated as a ritual, and in that way the final piece is an artifact of a performance. I was listening to the album over and over again, familiarizing myself to someone else’s improvisation, and though every time I sat with it I was in a different headspace, I had the music to ground me into this meditative space. The process itself was improvisation, and I stopped when I was most content with it. The painting looked significantly different in each layer, and there are images underneath that people will never see — kind of like every one of us"

About the MUSIC:

"A turtle is an animal that moves at a galactial pace-
It is slow to us, and unable to defend itself, unless it hides in something that does not look like, but truly is a part of, its body.

What if the turtle is listening to the footsteps beneath it, that is why it places its feet down so slowly, or rather, so meticulously.
Maybe, it is fascinated. Maybe, it is listening to what has happened before and after while being in the present to make the firmest plant on the ground. Maybe, it is constantly calculating, constantly learning about its movements, to get a better undestanding of the movements around it, to potentially develop empathy towards what it is not, but of maybe what it once was, and what it might be someday."
